FAQ

How many floors are in MONOCHROME?
Two. The base floor — an upstairs lobby plus a basement corridor maze with the four-key-and-code escape — and the much larger Part 2 floor added by the October 2, 2026 update "The next floor ..".
Is a Part 3 or third floor coming to MONOCHROME?
Nothing is announced. The developer has not published any third-floor signal, and the official description now carries no forward-looking note at all — only the Discord server is pointed to for devlogs.
How do you get to the second floor in MONOCHROME?
Not documented yet — both captioned launch-window runs recorded October 3, 2026 join straight into the new floor area, so the entrance interaction from the base game was never captured on film.
Does the second floor have a code?
No keypad appears in either verified launch-window run. The Part 2 floor escapes with a crowbar, a screwdriver, elevator keys and a control panel instead — the four-digit keypad stays part of the base floor.
Is MONOCHROME Part 2 a separate game?
No. Part 2 shipped inside the same Roblox experience, which was renamed "{ Pt. 2 } MONOCHROME" on launch day — one game, two floors, with system-wide changes like crouching, lockers, lives and a difficulty selector.

How many floors are in MONOCHROME?

Two — one base floor and the Part 2 floor. The game launched in August 2026 as a single-floor escape: you wake up in an upstairs lobby, sweep a basement corridor network for four keys, read a randomized four-digit code, and ride the elevator out. On October 2, 2026, the developer shipped Part 2 as the event “The next floor ..”, renamed the experience ”{ Pt. 2 } MONOCHROME👁️”, and added a second, much larger floor with its own objective landmarks and its own escape chain. That is the whole game today — and nothing beyond Part 2 has been announced.

Floor 1: the base game’s keys-and-code escape

The base floor is a two-halves layout: a small upstairs lobby holding the elevator, the lock panel and the keypad, and a basement of near-identical corridor rooms where the dresser drawers hide the four keys and a pale block holds the code slip. The escape is strictly sequential — four keys release the deadbolts, then the code dismounts the cover over the elevator controls — and the code is randomized every playthrough while staying fixed within a run. The room-by-room version of this layout is in the map guide, and the full route is walked step by step in the complete walkthrough.

Floor 2: the Part 2 floor and its own escape chain

Part 2’s floor is not a copy of the basement with new paint. Launch-window footage recorded October 3, 2026 shows a much larger, maze-like network with its own chain: pry barriers with a crowbar, sweep the same style of drawers for a screwdriver and elevator keys, restore a control panel, disarm it, and ride the elevator out — no four-digit keypad anywhere. The update also changed the systems around both floors: crouching now quiets your steps, detection factors in your lamp’s light, lockers join wardrobes as hiding spots, sprint lasts longer, and runs carry per-player lives with a paid revive. The step-by-step version is in the Part 2 walkthrough, and the code question has its own page — there is no keypad on the new floor, per the Part 2 code FAQ.

Two honest gaps remain on floor 2. Neither verified run documents how you reach the new floor from the base game — both join straight into the new area — and one run’s elevator explicitly “needs two keys” while the run count is too thin to call that a rule. Both open questions are tracked on the Part 2 tracker.

Is a third floor coming? What is and is not signaled

As of the October 11–12, 2026 checks, no third floor or “Part 3” has been announced anywhere official. The description’s forward-looking line disappeared at launch, the developer’s stated news channels are the Roblox page and the game’s Discord server, and the game’s ending screen — which carried “part two is in development” before launch — has not been re-recorded showing any new note in the footage verified so far. The single ending documented on the endings page also stands, with neither launch-window run showing a second scene. The game carries an October 11, 2026 update stamp whose contents are undocumented, so this page treats the floor count as “two, verified; more, unannounced” and updates if the developer says otherwise.
